Every student and pupil in Newham has access to the DigitalBrain VLE. The original concept was an online place where users could store their work, manage their email, check their diary and create content. Feature include:

• staff & student email
• 100Mb personal webspace
• Webpage creation tools
• content storage and delivery
• discussion forums, live chat...
• online polls, calendars, courses and communities...

The student email (by default) is locked down so that they cannot send email to or receive email from outside of the school. This restriction, however, can be lifted.
