Admin Training
Courses continue in the Summer Term 2009 for the School Workforce Census,
for all non-pilot schools. Non-pilot schools will need to make their first
return in October 2009, ready for full implementation in January 2010.
ITASS will book schools on to these courses.
The new Dinner Money 7 software for primary schools should be released in
June 2009. Tamsyn Murray will arrange for a group of schools to pilot the new
software, and she will book schools on to the training course.
All other courses are open to schools to book your own places. These include
courses for new users of Pupil Records, SEN, Personnel 7, FMS,
Attendance 7, Assessment Manager, and School Census. There are
also short courses in selected areas of FMS, and full-day courses in MS
Office products.
All schools are advised to consider a refresher course in SIMS .net
End of Year procedures and/or Dinner Money End of Year Procedures.
Courses are also available for new and existing users about processing End of
Key Stage results in Assessment Manager.
The termly IMS User Group meeting for admin staff in primary, nursery and
special schools is on Thursday 7 May 2009. You are asked to book a place
for this in the same way as for training courses, so that we know numbers in
advance.
The programme of training for Address Management is still not confirmed,
pending the resolution of software issues.
